Say hello to Puschel

Im Moment habe ich nähtechnisch wirklich viele Ideen, die ich verwirklichen möchte, aber irgendwie dauert die Ausführung sehr lange. Schon im letzten Herbst habe ich in der erbsünde Nähwerkstatt einen coolen petrolfarbenen / seegrünen Puschelstoff entdeckt. Wahrscheinlich 100% Polyester  – aber so schön für eine kuschelige Strickjacke. Ich wusste auch schon ziemlich schnell, was ich daraus nähen wollte. Den flauschigen Cardigan aus der Burda Easy HW 2015 (leider ist das Heft ausverkauft). Und dann kamen irgendwie immer wieder andere Sache dazwischen. Und neue Stoffe. Nun ja, tatsächlich bin ich jetzt seit circa 6 Wochen dabei endlich alle Winterstoffe zu vernähen, die ich im Herbst gekauft habe. Es entstehen hier also gerade warme Sweater und Strickjacken. Ich meine, der Winter ist ja noch nicht ganz rum und der nächste Herbst wird auch wieder kommen. Ihr seht, das mit dem azyklisch nähen und planen, habe ich immer noch nicht drauf.

EN: I really have a lot of sewingplans and ideas, but bringing them to life doesn’t really happen at the moment. Last fall i found this wonderfull teal fabric at erbsünde Nähwerkstatt. Iam sure it’s made of 100% polyester. But it was love at first sight and almost right from the start i knew i would make this lovley  Burda Easy Cardigan out of it,  from the HW 2015  issue (the german issue isn’t available any more) . But then reality hits in and my cosy cardi had to wait, for there were other things i had to do and to sew.
I think its about six weeks ago, that i really startet to work on my winterfabric stash. So in the last few weeks iam sewing cosy sweaters and cardis. You know, winter is not over yet and the next fall will come. But for now i have to delay my spring sewing plans. Foresighted sewing is something i still have to learn.

DE: Aus dem Krümelmonsterstoff ist also ein Cardigan geworden. Zunächst hat mich der Schnitt ziemlich an Frau Ava von Hedi näht erinnert. Er hat vorne auch Halsabnäher und einen angesetzten Beleg. Aber der Burda Schnitt hat richtige Ärmel, keine angesetzten, bzw Kimonoärmel.
Das einzige was ich geändert habe: ich habe die aufgesetzten Taschen weggelassen. Ich hatte Bedenken, dass das mit dem Stoff zu dick und wulstig aussehen könnte. Jetzt ärgere ich mich manchmal darüber, die Taschen wären schon cool gewesen.

EN: I have made a cookiemonster inspired cardi out of this fabric. At first the Burda pattern reminded me of Frau Ava from Hedi näht, because of the darts at the neckline but it has real set in sleeves, no kimonosleeves like Frau Ava. The only thing i changed from the pattern – i didn’t do the pockets. I was worried, that it would be to thick. But now i have to admit, that i miss the pockets.

DE: Ich mag den Cardigan sehr gern. Am liebsten trage ich ihn über dünnen Langarmshirts (meinen geliebten Mollytops). Das einzige Manko an dem Stoff ist: wenn sich darin Fussel verfangen, bekommt man sie sehr schlecht raus. Irgendwer von uns hatte leider mal wieder ein Tempo in einer Hose vergessen, die zusammen mit meinem Cardi in der Wäsche gelandet ist – jetzt ist er leider an manchen Stellen weiß gesprenkelt.

EN: I love my new cardigan. My favorite styling is with a light longsleeve (like a Mollytop) underneath. A little annoying is, that the fabric is so fluffy and therefore all kind of lint gets caught in it. Especailly if someone forgets a handkerchief in the pockets of a jeans for washing. But thats something i can live with.

DE: Die Fotos sind übrigens beim Nähwochenende in Possenhofen entstanden. Ich finde, man muss die Gelegenheit nutzen, wenn jemand mit dem gleichen Hobby vor Ort ist und Fotos machen kann. Wenn ich nämlich, was wirklich selten ist, meinen Mann überreden kann Bilder zu machen, dann fällt ihm oft nicht auf, das irgendwo komische Falten sind, mein Unterkleid vorschaut oder ich noch Fadenraupen aus den Säumen hängen habe. Geschweige denn, dass er mir Fotoanweisungen gibt. Meist habe ich dann einfach nur 2 Minuten, bevor er die Kamera wieder hinlegt und sagt: „ja das passt schon“.  Aber ich habe da ja einen Plan: in circa 3-4 Jahren müssten meine Jungs so weit sein, dass sie den Fotojob übernehmen können!

EN: The pictures were made at the sewing weekend in Possenhofen. The lovley Melanie from the flying needle took them for me. You have to take that chance, to get photographed by someone, that loves youre hobby as much as you. For those people will see every crease, loose seam or thread. If i can convince my Husband to take photos with me, i always have just a few minutes until he says: „Got it“ – and you can be sure, that he wont’t notice lints or loose threads.
So my plan for the next years is to get my little boys to do this job. But that will have to wait another 3-4 years.
